Shoes should be cleaned of loose dirt immediately after use with a damp cloth or sponge.
If your feet sweat inside the shoes, it is important to let the shoes air out well after use. Fully loosen the laces, remove any removable insoles, open the shoe's mouth wide, and let the shoes dry thoroughly before the next use.
If the shoes get wet on the inside as well, remove the removable insoles and open the shoe's mouth wide to allow air to circulate inside the shoes as much as possible.
It is also beneficial to give the shoes "rest days" to allow them to dry and air out properly.
Store the shoes upright, at room temperature, and protected from UV light.

There are very few barriers to using barefoot shoes.
However, such barriers include functional or structural disorders of the feet or lower limbs. For example, hallux rigidus, or stiff big toe, where the big toe joint does not bend easily or at all upwards during the push-off phase of the step – which is a requirement for the natural roll of the step.
Similarly, any surgical operations where joints are fused – that is, their movement is restricted or completely prevented – pose challenges for the smooth use of barefoot shoes and the benefits they provide.
Loss of sensation in the soles of the feet (neuropathy) due to diabetes or nerve damage can also be considered a contraindication for using barefoot shoes, as you may injure your feet without noticing through the thin sole of the shoe.
If you have painful osteoarthritis or an active inflammatory phase of rheumatoid arthritis, it is advisable to reconsider using barefoot shoes until the condition improves.
If necessary, consult a physiotherapist or podiatrist who is knowledgeable about this matter. Remember to tell them that you want to transition to using barefoot shoes and ask how they can assist you in this project.

After the first day, second use, they broke here... They are stiff and tight there, but the quality should be higher for this price. I'm actually really disappointed.
They're not the best barefoot shoes I've used, but they're OK. But again, for this price, I wouldn't buy them if they brake this easily.. I wanted them to stay fresh for at least 2 years...
I've also written to the Vaistoa support about this, no answer in 1 week...

I have feet that are somewhat narrow and low volume and 25 cm long. I ordered size 40 and could not have worn a size 41, it would have been way to big for me. They are comfortable, but a bit too roomy for my narrow feet so I slide around in them a bit, but I bought them for everyday wear so they will do fine, but if it was something I was planning on running in the sizing on these will work better for higher volume feet. As an everyday sneaker they fit good enough and the comfort is really good. I chose the the most colorful of these they had, but I would have liked something even brighter- like a Grass green och royal blue or turqoise - hope they add more colors of these or why not one with pattern. 😊 great shoe so far. Wore it on a longer walk and felt really good on the feet.

My toes are more relaxed. Especially after a long running training when i put my Vaistoas back on they can recover as they dont rub against the shoe.
Also My feet dont sweat as much anymore which makes the skin in between the toes more healthy now.
And they are just way lighter then my other shoes. Like a thick comfy sock but with a rubber sole.

I love these summer Vaistoa's. They are very comfortable and beautifully made. I love the details on the soles and the material they are made of. They are clearly made with love! Because they are barefoots they ofcourse don't offer a lot of bounce in the soles and I hope that the Plantar fasciitis I am having at the moment will not get worse. Would be great if there would be barefoot inlay soles that could soften the step a little, becuase particularly on stone roads it can be painful. Otherwise I am already addicted to wearing barefoot shoes. My back feels better and my feet are getting stronger too.

I really like these shoes. They look good and. Are really nice as the toes have a lot of space. They don't feel so snug though , but maybe i'm just used two smaller shoes. I think I have the right size and that they would be too small if I took a smaller one. But sometimes when I walk outside , it feels a little bit like my feet are moving around in the shoes. But my left foot is also quite a bit smaller than my rightfoot. I really like these shoes.

I wanted breathable barefoot shoes for the summer, the Vaistoan hiking shoes were a good fit for my foot in terms of design, but they don't really breathe if you're wearing them all day. These cotton ones are comfortable to wear though! I haven't gotten to walk long distances yet, but so far so good. The Achilles tendon was a bit chafed at first, but now the shoes have moulded to fit my foot.

In some of the preview photos on the product page, this burgundy looked like it might fold into the pink which made me a little nervous, but I shouldn't have been. It seemed to me that those pictures were just overexposed so I ventured out to order these. Of course, a slightly darker burgundy would have been even more to my liking, but these are very nice too! As my first barefoot shoes, they feel very comfortable on my feet. The right size was found on the second try when the first ones felt a bit small, the exchange was a great success, thank you!

Old production white ones have been in use this spring and I like them. Would have liked to buy the exact same black ones. Too bad I was left with only the perfect feeling fitting shoes that I couldn't buy. The new ones I ordered not only have a thinner fabric, but the "flaps" where the laces are, stay a little further apart than my older shoes. Also, size 40.5 would be best for me.
