Adult models are unisex, and you choose the size by foot length from each model's size chart, which already includes toe room. Natural movement builds stronger feet
The thin, flexible sole lets you feel the ground, and the foot-shaped toe box lets your toes spread as you step. More feedback from the ground trains your balance and control on every walk, and your balance improves with practice. Moving also gets the circulation in your feet going. When your feet do their own work, their muscles get stronger over time, like with any training. The level, zero-drop sole gives your body a natural starting point for its posture. How warm are barefoot winter boots?
Vaistoa winter boots don't have a temperature rating. Depending on the model, they have 3M Thinsulate™ insulation, a soft faux fur lining or felt, a winter insole and an extra mid-insole. How warm your feet feel also depends on your socks and how much you move.
How do they grip on snow and ice?
The Vaistoa Pitoa™ winter sole improves grip in changing winter conditions. Its soft, high-friction grip pads are moulded into the thin, flexible sole under the forefoot and heel, so you get grip and ground feel while your step stays natural. The grip pads are not studs: on smooth glare ice, add removable ice grips.
Should I size up for winter boots?
Choose the size from the model's size chart by foot length. Toe room is already included, and the chart tells you whether the model fits your usual size or one size up (for example Sulo 2 Winter).
What is the difference between wide fit and a foot-shaped toe box?
Wide fit is roomier overall but can still taper at the toe. A foot-shaped toe box is widest across the toes.
Are barefoot winter shoes waterproof?
Depending on the shoe model, our winter barefoot boots have water-repellent treatments or waterproof membranes that protect your feet in wet and snowy conditions.
How should I care for my winter barefoot boots?
Clean the boots with a damp cloth after use, especially after exposure to snow or slush. Regularly applying water-repellent sprays will help maintain their protective qualities. Specific shoe care instructions for each model are on each product page.
