Care Instructions
Wash your rubber boots soon after use so that dirt comes off more easily. You can clean them with lukewarm water and a soft brush, gently brushing the surface. Avoid pressing too hard while brushing. Let the boots dry at room temperature.
If needed, you can treat the surface of the boots with a rubber care product if the rubber feels dry or has become dull. This helps keep the surface shiny and more resistant to dirt for longer.
If your feet sweat inside the boots, it’s important to let them air out well after use. Place the boots upright so the shaft does not fold, remove any removable insoles, and allow the boots to dry naturally before the next use.
If the boots become wet on the inside as well, remove the insole and make sure air can circulate inside the boots as much as possible.
It’s also good to give your boots “rest days” so they can dry and ventilate properly.
Store the rubber boots upright, protected from UV light, in a room-temperature or cooler environment.

There are very few barriers to using barefoot shoes.
However, such barriers include functional or structural disorders of the feet or lower limbs. For example, hallux rigidus, or stiff big toe, where the big toe joint does not bend easily or at all upwards during the push-off phase of the step – which is a requirement for the natural roll of the step.
Similarly, any surgical operations where joints are fused – that is, their movement is restricted or completely prevented – pose challenges for the smooth use of barefoot shoes and the benefits they provide.
Loss of sensation in the soles of the feet (neuropathy) due to diabetes or nerve damage can also be considered a contraindication for using barefoot shoes, as you may injure your feet without noticing through the thin sole of the shoe.
If you have painful osteoarthritis or an active inflammatory phase of rheumatoid arthritis, it is advisable to reconsider using barefoot shoes until the condition improves.

The rainsboots are good, and i really like them when I'm out and about in the rain. But for my foot the front of the boot is too flat and I can feel them against the top of my toas and the ridge.
For some reason i also felt that my socks became damp, not wet but damp, and I think that is because they touch the inner lining if the boot.
Still like them and will probably buy another pair when these are done (but maybe in a larger size)
Lovely shoes. Has wear them for hours every day in forest, swamp, pickning cloudberries. They are so comfortable, really like that you can close them around the leg, so that nothing can fall in the boots when you walk in the forest
De hade fått full pott på stjärnorna om det inte hade varit för att de faktiskt har en liten häl.
Ett plus hade varit om det hade gått att dra åt dem även runt ankeln eller där de kring.
Super bra att det går att dra åt dem högst upp. Det räddade min ena fot från att bli blöt när jag gick ner i myren med ena foten till knät i går.
Took a test run through mud, water, forest, etc, and was very happy with how comfortable they are. I chose my normal shoe size and they're good, maybe a teeny bit big. But I'll be wearing thick socks on our Canadian journey where we will constantly be in and out of boats and kayaks and taking hikes between paddling sessions so no worries. I have thin calves so nice to have the toggle at the top. They stayed up, no problem. Love the packing bag, it will come in very handy!
This was a new experience! Soft, light and comfortable rubber boots that comes in a compression bag which makes them easy to bring along i your backpack. They are great to wear and can handle walks pretty well. The only thing I would be careful with is walking up or especially down hill, they are a bit too soft for that. But for high grass or in the forest, picking blueberries or mushrooms, they are probably great! So far, I have used them on a photo excursion, taking close-ups of frogs, and a bit of playing with lambs in the fields. I really love these boots!
Absolutely love these boots, couldn’t live without them now. I’ve been looking for proper waterproof barefoot shoes in vain for a long time, until finally we were able to buy Vaistoa here in the UK, I was so happy. And basically ever since I got them in winter I wore them every single day. (In the UK you can’t get away without wellies for half of the year..) Anyhow, I ordered my usual size and they fit well, even have space for a pair of thick socks, and a thin (3mm) insulation insole for the colder days. (Which is how I like my barefoot boots.) They are so so comfortable! They have good grip. I’ve done many walks (mainly hill walking) in them, but also walked up streams, climbed into caves - some with water running down into them, climbed some rocks (to get to caves), I’ve worn them just to run errands in town. I just cannot express how much I’ve enjoyed them. They are so light and you can forget you’re wearing them. (Unlike most wellies.) They are truly waterproof, and just the freedom to go wherever without worrying AND feel comfy at the same time and feel the ground - these boots are my fave!
The only terrain that they failed me was very slippery deep fresh mud on a bad path up the side of a gorge - I’ve been sliding all over the place - but most shoes would fail when the mud is deep and slippery. (Even my friend who was with me and was wearing proper hiking boots was slipping and sliding here and there, but I must admit I was half their speed getting up and down that muddy path..)
After about 2.5-3 months of wearing every day they somehow got a hole, but customer service was so kind, gracious and excellent, they exchanged the boots. Honestly, thank you Vaistoa, this is first class customer experience, and I get that you really care about your customers and the service you provide, not just the product and the money, and I couldn’t appreciate you more for this. Please keep making these boots. I’m a fan for life.
Did a 5k cross country walk through puddles and long grass with my Nordic Walking poles after a day’s heavy rain . Feet dry and comfortable and felt much like my usual barefoot boots ( from Freet ) . The Freet boots are water resistant not waterproof so the new boots were just the ticket being 100% waterproof and light weight and flexible . Their durability is yet to be tested .

These rubber boots are wonderful! They are completely different from ordinary boots and weigh next to nothing. Every step feels really comfortable. I highly recommend them.
I've only been using my new wellies twice this far, today for good four hours out walking and cycling, and they're exactly what I've been looking for. Very light and comfortable, flexible enough to squat for a while without restrictions, and with a good enough grip on wet grass and pavement. Also 100% waterproof even in puddles unlike most barefoot shoes marketed as such, my feet were perfectly dry after a day out in the rain. They were quite pricey, but assuming they last for a while I'd say they're worth it for anyone who's active regardless of the weather.
A handy and useful addition, for example, as a spare pair of boots for hiking. You can hang them on the side of your rucksack. They take up little space and are light to carry.
The fit is OK, as I went two sizes larger than recommended. They fit over regular and wool socks. The shaft is too narrow and goes out of shape. So, product development is still needed, especially since you should normally be able to fit jeans or outdoor trousers inside the shaft. I'm thinking of cutting the shafts shorter, otherwise these are easy and comfortable to walk in.

Used for hiking because they are lightweight. Suitable for the job. However, you have to be careful not to step on sharp rocks when walking on rocky terrain.
Köpte mina första stövlar för en tid sedan och sålde dom vidare till syrran som inte kunde ha sina vanliga gummistövlar pga att dom gjorde ont. Senare åkte vi tillsammans till fjällen och jag som annars bara går i barfotaskor gick i ett par vanliga gummistövlar. Den enda som inte hade problem var syrran. Hon fick varken skavsår eller ont. Då beställde jag ett par till mig igen och känner mig nöjd med stövlarna. Bra platts för tårna och perfekt sula till tuff terräng förutom att sulan på syrrans par var hala i fjällsluttningarna. Har inte hunnit prova mina ännu i fjällen. För mig har barfotaskor stärkt mina fötter och höfterna är ok. Pronationen är borta och hålfoten har blivit mer tydlig. Jag blir inte trött I fötterna när jag står och går. 🤗
Absolutely brilliant! I just hiked 55 km of Hetta-Pallas, among other things. It took even the rocks and my feet like it when I can walk without supports (fortunately I have healthy and "strong" feet). I took a size bigger than my own size, so that they don't get too tight, and I can fit in my wool socks. They were a bit big, but I didn't mind: they are so light and fit well, and the bottom of my feet stayed well in the boot. I wonder if I'll buy any more rubber boots than these boots.
The boots were immediately put to the test on a mountain hike, and worked very well. Didn't have to worry about getting my feet wet crossing streams or bogs, and my feet were comfortable. These will be used in the future. Thank you! :)
These are so lovely on my feet that I sometimes forget to take them off. At the cottage they are absolutely wonderful, they are not slippery even on the rocks and I can walk fast in the woods! I recommend!
Amazing product - actually comfortable rubber boots!
However, I'd recommend getting a size bigger than normal. I had the original Katve at first and while my usual size was a big too snug on the foot, it still worked and I thought it might actually be better than too loose. I could walk in them for hours and remain comfortable, and I jumped in puddles like a child.
But after five months of using them on the wettest days, they got worn out and a hole appeared. Katve 2 was said to be more durable, so I gave them a chance as a replacement because I really didn't want to be without rubber boots again. And they seem sturdier, but that also mean that it's more noticeable that they are a bit small and I really wish I had bought a larger size instead. So for others who consider buying, I'd recommend that. I can still walk in them, but it's not as enjoyable as with the ones I had before.

Theese boots are the best. Very soft, very comfy, very strong, simply fantastic. First thing I felt -pardon me- was the boots were patting my feet. Splendid.
Les bottes sont confortables et bien souples, j’étais très contente mais après seulement 5 mois d’utilisation au jardin, l’une s’est déchirée sur un coté au dessus du pied. Le caoutchouc est très souple mais également très fin.
Dommage, vu le prix, je vais essayer de les réparer sans grand espoir
De eerste barefoot laarzen die echt waterdicht zijn. Ze zitten heerlijk ook in de winter met schapenvacht zooltje erin. Ik hoop alleen dat er nog eens een barefoot laars komt die van sterker materiaal wordt gemaakt. Maar voor nu ben ik na lang zoeken heel blij met deze laarzen.
The difference is amazing! I started wearing these boots to work instead of a well known Australian boot brand, and now I don't have sore feet or hip discomfort. When I put on the other boots now, it feels so wrong on my feet.
I've been wearing them for 2 weeks for 6 hours a day of active very physical work. They're so light! I hope my feet will still be warm enough in these when it gets really cold.
I'd love it if Vaistoa could make a work boot with some toe area protection. I would get everyone I know to buy a pair!
The Rain Boots are really comfortable, I love to wear them. There is room for cozy socks but they are also alright to wear without socks. I think they might get too tight over the years as I expect my toes to spread more by walking a lot more BAREbarefoot and wearing sandals throughout the whole summer season; I think all the barefoot shoe companies would benefit with going with this, even though they offer wider toe boxes than normal shoes, I still have a very hard time to find barefoot shoes that actually fit my feet.
One thing I would appreciate in the rain boots is switching the polyester/cotton lining with actual wool, as it would reduce static from building up and it would regulate the temperature inside the boot better :) I would be happy to pay a higher price for that!
I love these boots! I only used them to the beach and they were very comfortable and nicely kept the water and sand away!
For the colder days it's worth adding a warm sock to it. They are wide and there is a bit of room for a thicker sock, without being too to hollow on the inside. I hope they will be long lasting!
I have been searching for a while for a rubber boots to work in the fields under pouring rain or in the mud, there are few barefoot options and i was skeptical on the 2 other brands that offer either some very thin soles or short shaft boots that would not be appropriate for heavy use.
So far I am thrilled! Those are perfect for my 23,5/9,8 cm feet (got size 38), I have medium volume feet, skinny ankles and small calves so I was worried I would flop around in those. Turns out with a pair of thick wool socks those are perfect and the elastic manages to keep them secured on my calf.
