Shoes should be cleaned of loose dirt immediately after use with a damp cloth or sponge.
If your feet sweat inside the shoes, it is important to let the shoes air out well after use. Fully loosen the laces, remove any removable insoles, open the shoe's mouth wide, and let the shoes dry thoroughly before the next use.
If the shoes get wet on the inside as well, remove the removable insoles and open the shoe's mouth wide to allow air to circulate inside the shoes as much as possible.
It is also beneficial to give the shoes "rest days" to allow them to dry and air out properly.
Store the shoes upright, at room temperature, and protected from UV light.

There are very few barriers to using barefoot shoes.
However, such barriers include functional or structural disorders of the feet or lower limbs. For example, hallux rigidus, or stiff big toe, where the big toe joint does not bend easily or at all upwards during the push-off phase of the step – which is a requirement for the natural roll of the step.
Similarly, any surgical operations where joints are fused – that is, their movement is restricted or completely prevented – pose challenges for the smooth use of barefoot shoes and the benefits they provide.
Loss of sensation in the soles of the feet (neuropathy) due to diabetes or nerve damage can also be considered a contraindication for using barefoot shoes, as you may injure your feet without noticing through the thin sole of the shoe.
If you have painful osteoarthritis or an active inflammatory phase of rheumatoid arthritis, it is advisable to reconsider using barefoot shoes until the condition improves.
If necessary, consult a physiotherapist or podiatrist who is knowledgeable about this matter. Remember to tell them that you want to transition to using barefoot shoes and ask how they can assist you in this project.

The 4 Key Features: How Shoe Design Influences Your Health
Padded Shaft and 3M Thinsulate Insulation
Keep your feet warm in the cold – the high padded shaft, soft fur lining, and 3M Thinsulate insulation provide extra warmth and comfort during winter.
Water-Repellent Surface and Mudguard
Protect your feet from getting wet – the water-repellent surface treatment and mudguard help keep your feet dry in unpredictable winter weather.
Winter Insole and Winter Sole
Improved grip and heat retention – the insole’s foil layer reflects body heat back to your feet, while the winter sole’s softer rubber compound provides better grip in freezing conditions.
Matti Melanen
Physiotherapist Recommends
Vaistoa Hanki winter boots are excellent footwear for snowy winter adventures. Thanks to their high shaft and Thinsulate lining, the snow stays outside, and your feet remain warm inside the boots.
The boots' thin and flexible sole, along with a wide toe box, allows the foot to work actively, which improves circulation and helps keep your feet warm.
And honestly, they look super cool!
Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 81 reviews.
My first barefoot shoes and immediately I was able to test them on the snow. Absolutely wonderful on my feet, exactly what I was hoping for. They were warm enough, at least in those few degrees of frost, and the soles were not slippery. My normal size is 38 and these are 39 and are just right. After walking in them for a few days, I ordered a few more pairs of shoes.
Stylish, with an easy-to-adjust fastening system; easy to put on and comfortable to walk in. A wide and spacious interior. Seems to provide good grip on slippery surfaces. Keeps your feet warm.
Love these! My feet are warm, dry and comfy despite both cold and wet weather. In the picture I have just walked through some icecold puddles in the forest...and came out with dry feet.
Very light and high quality. I added wool insoles to get a softer and warmer boot.
What a shame.
I'm extremely disappointed with these winter boots.
I was wearing them on my walk in the forest with my dogs. The second time I wore them I must have met a stick or a thorn with the top of the foot (probably while walking as I didn't noticed right away).
With that the top of the snout is now ripped open and the material is pushed out.
The fabric of the squishy part of the boot seems to be quite sensitive.
Apparently these winter boots are not suitable for going through rough circumstances but more only for walking in snow.
And if you're now thinking, why didn't she use the rain-boots for that, well, first of all it was snowing and second of all my calves are too thick for the rain-boots unfortunately.
First of all, the delivery was really fast 👍 I had heard praising comments from users about the bf shoes, but I was still surprised by the use. I have multi problem feet and back (on sick leave because of these). Even after the first day of city travel, the soles of my feet and ankles didn't ache. In the past, at least the evening and sometimes even the next day were ruined. Beautiful shoes, soft and warm. A little product development idea for us with back problems with long shank and laces: sticker versions would be good ☺️ of course the beauty would suffer 🤗 would 100% recommend for healthy guys too, for prevention that is.
The very first barefoot shoes that I have bought (on the recommendation of a friend) I really like this winter model, even though the shoes do not have a zipper, so adjust the laces to fit and they fit well. After 1-2 months of experience, I RECOMMEND.
I went for a slightly larger size (43) so I can wear several pairs of woollen socks if needed. I’m really pleased with both their practicality and how they look. I’ve already worn them in temperatures ranging from -5°C to -25°C. I haven’t had the chance to test them on really slippery surfaces yet, but they offer good grip even on snowy slopes.
Product per se seemed very qualitative and comfortable. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size, as the size chart was highly confusing and differed from anything standard you can see.
Boots are superlight, warm and simply perfect for me. I love them. I cannot use anything but barefootshoes, and it is still difficult to find warm barefootboots,. I am perfectly happy with these shoes.
Unfortunately they were too narrow at midfoot and forefoot for my duck feet. So I had to send them back. They looked wider in the ads.
I would have loved to have them with wool lining and a wider profile.
Even though the upper material appears to be a tiny bit stretchy and the toe-box is roomy enough hight-wise, with an extra insole the foot ends up floating out over the edges. Maybe the sole shape/width will change in production and I'll give it a try once more in the future.
Unfortunately poorer quality than expected. The size chart was inaccurate. So far the customer service have been perfect, hopefully the whole return process will go smoothly.
Comfortable and light winter boot. Easy to put on but a zipper would be nice to have.
You need to add soles to keep the foot warm from below.
Good height in toe box.
I’ve only been using vivo barefoot shoes for over five years now but even though I love the training shoes and many other models i didn’t quite like the winter shoes so I wanted to try something different. I love these shoes and I live in them. So comfortable and perfect for the cold and wet season
No, barefoot shoes combine several solutions, like a warming faux fur lining that keeps feet warm. Additionally, natural foot movement increases body heat production. Vaistoa thermal insoles enhance this body-generated warmth: their foil layer reflects heat back to the feet, reducing cold from the ground and helping keep feet comfortably warm, even in cold conditions.
You can test the shoes indoors for 90 days. Returns are free, so you can order risk-free and with peace of mind. If you're not completely satisfied, simply return them within 90 days for a full refund. No questions asked.

The winter sole's softer rubber compound reduces hardening in frosty weather, allowing for improved grip on icy surfaces.
The thin, flexible sole lets you feel the terrain underfoot, promoting grip, balance, and safety.
Barefoot shoes have been around for years and are based on principles of natural movement and foot health. They are not just a trend; they are a step towards healthier footwear choices.
Our barefoot shoes are made from high-quality materials and designed for use in various environments. They are durable, but it’s important to remember that all shoes are consumable items. Barefoot shoes naturally have thinner soles compared to traditional thick-soled shoes. The durability of the soles can vary depending on the level of activity, the environment, and your walking style.
While athletes and outdoor enthusiasts use barefoot shoes for their features, they are suitable for anyone looking for comfort and the benefits of natural movement.
Many people with foot problems have found relief with barefoot shoes because they improve foot functionality. However, it’s wise to consult a healthcare professional before making a change if you are unsure.
Barefoot shoes do not provide any support because their purpose is to allow the foot muscles to work while moving. Supported shoes weaken the foot muscles because they don’t get to do their job.
