I used the Vaistoa Uoma 2 Barefoot Trekking Boots for the first time today while hunting for black grouse and capercaillie. I was mighty impressed by how quiet I was able to walk, not only inside the forest but also on gravel roads. It felt almost like walking barefoot! I was hunting for six hours mostly walking in moss and morass and the feet didn't feel heavy at all, as they do when wearing regular hunting boots. and I can assure you that they are truly waterproof!

They are comfortable but the top of my feet are quite thin so I had to sew the shoes a little on the top as they were way too big. I wonder if the wool fabric will get bigger later on. I hope not!
Skona jag bara använder! Älskar dom! Har alltid tyckt om att gå barfota men de är inte alltid de passar men med dessa skor får man både de skyddande runt foten och så mycket barfota känsla som de går
The insoles have only been used a little so far. Of course, the feel of the ground underfoot does diminish as the insole gets thicker. Personally, I like the fact that the sole of the foot gets the best possible feel for the ground.
Good waterproof hiking boot, i hope it will last
I genuinely love those hiking boots! I have spent years trying to find a good WATERPROOF boots for autumn. It is rare, it seems like barefoot shoe producers all live in a wonderful weather, and don't seem to understand what is going on in Estonia during autumn :))) it's muddy and wet! Anyway, Vaistoa from Finland knows how it is and they have made PERFECT hiking boots. not only because they are truly waterproof, but they sit very well, they are lightweight and look good! Finally I have what I needed!

I’ve worn these shoes a great deal during the two months I’ve had them. They’re good for foot function, which was to be expected based on my previous experiences. However, their durability under heavy use is poor. The plastic/rubber layer over the toe area has completely torn, and now the outsole is also starting to show signs of wear. The insoles in both shoes are already worn through. Of course, the shoes have been used a lot, but they should still last longer.
Brilliant wellies. They were put to the test straight away in the garden. They seem to be made of higher-quality rubber than their predecessors, which didn’t even last a year. My feet don’t get tired or sore when I’m walking about in these.
They’re comfortable on my feet; I’ve already gone on a 15 km hike in Repovesi National Park wearing them.
Hi, I rarely give feedback on products, but I’m going to do so now. These trainers are nice to wear… Except: the tread pattern on the sole is a complete failure. Sand and small stones get stuck in the gaps between the treads during everyday use. When wearing these trainers both outdoors and indoors, it feels a bit dodgy walking on different floor surfaces. I’m worried that the small stones will scratch the floors to bits, as you can often hear that ‘scratching sound’. It’s also a faff to remove the stones from the grooves, and you’d have to be doing it all the time. Yours, Tiina Määttänen
Lightweight, comfortable material. Stylish. I’ve been wearing only barefoot shoes for four years now.
These shoes didn’t make my feet or back ache. The feel of the ground underfoot helped me walk without tensing up, and the shoes provided good grip on the rocks. A great purchase and a worthwhile investment in my wellbeing.
The Tuohi 2 boots are good. The only downside is that the shafts are a bit too high for me. The shafts on the previous brown Vaistoa Uoma 2 boots I bought are a better fit. I’ll be using both pairs of boots on autumn hikes in Lapland. I also wore the Uoma 2 boots on my runs last winter. They didn’t make me slip and were surprisingly warm, even in temperatures as low as 10 degrees below zero. So, I’m a satisfied customer 😀
They’re lovely, nice and light shoes, and I like the colour of them.
Lightweight, comfortable and flexible shoes. Although you can feel the sole against the sole of your foot, I haven’t yet come across a stone that’s felt uncomfortably through the sole. Your toes can spread out whilst walking, and the short upper supports the ankle. I haven’t had a chance to test the water-repellent surface yet. I’d recommend them!
I only managed to wear my new hiking boots once, because when I told my daughter about them, she immediately took them off with her to the Alps. We’ll have to see whether I get them back or if I’ll have to buy a new pair.
These wellies are easy to put on, stay up well and are completely waterproof. Like other shoes from Vaistoa, they have a flexible sole and a suitably wide fit. So far, their waterproofing and durability have been faultless, and the yellow colour is lovely. I was right on the cusp between two sizes, and going for the larger size was definitely the right choice.
Best boots I’ve ever had!! I walk with my horses for hours every day, and my feet have been hurting more and more for years! At last I thought there was a risk I would have to stop walking, until I found Vaistoa!! Tried them yesterday and they didn’t hurt anywhere at all on my sore feet! Hardly noticed I had shoes on! So grateful, now I can continue my wonderful life with my horses! About to order one more pair!
These Vaistoa trainers are my third pair of barefoot shoes. I have severe osteoarthritis in my right knee, but with these trainers I’ve managed to get through a full working day on my feet and even gone for a run without any knee pain, which I find absolutely amazing. I’m completely sold on these shoes🤗
I’ve been wearing Vaistoa barefoot shoes for 5 years now, in all seasons and in all situations. Now my favourite colours have finally arrived, and for the first time I’ve ordered the updated, improved models, which felt just right from the very first time I tried them on 🥰
The first pair were indeed too small, but thanks to some helpful instructions I managed to return them, and the new ones had already arrived in my Matkahuolto parcel box. I haven’t had a proper chance to try the shoes out yet, but if they’re as good as my previous summer shoes, I’ll be happy.

My grandchild’s shoes haven’t been worn yet, as the weather is still summery. He’s tried them on and quite liked them. So we haven’t had any experience of wearing them yet.

They feel lovely on my feet. But the sole of the trainers is thicker under my big toe. I have to walk very carefully now because I’ve tripped over a few times. In terms of design, I think they’d look nicer if they were a few millimetres higher, but in practice it’s a problem for me. I was surprised myself that I tripped. This hasn’t happened with other barefoot shoes.
My child’s favourite shoes. This is already the third pair – always one size up – and they’re still going strong. We use them all year round. My two-year-old loves putting them on and taking them off by themselves.
Good shoes, but a bit too roomy for me – not the size, but the width. Wearing thick socks with them helps a bit.
Guaranteed quality, just like all Vaistoa shoes, which is why I no longer own shoes from any other brands. You don’t even need to break them in; you can just put them on straight away, whether you’re wearing them for an hour or eight. These are top notch too, and their waterproofing has already been tested in light rain. I’m absolutely confident that my toes will stay dry on my commute, even if I get caught in a heavier downpour! They feel sturdy and are so comfortable on my feet.
A really good pair of shoes – my feet didn’t get wet even though the path by the stream was wet this morning!
The shoes are amazing, I can’t imagine wearing other shoes now. Connecting to the ground has helped me recover from neuropathy following chemotherapy. I’ve walked for many kilometres in the shoes and they’ve lasted so well. Now I have the boots too to take me into autumn. My balance has also improved as an added bonus of stronger feet. Tree pose is finally unlocked 🧘♀️
