How to measure your feet: stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, measure from the paper edge to the mark and match your foot length to the size chart. Measure both feet and use the longer foot.

So, you only need to know the length of your foot in centimeters. Here’s how to find it out:

  1. Place a piece of paper on the floor with one edge against the wall.
  2. Put your heel against the wall and mark a line on the paper at the tip of your longest toe.
  3. Measure the length from the edge of the paper to the line you drew.

Foot length = the measured length of your own foot; the toe allowance is already included, so you don't need to add anything. Shoe interior = the length and width inside the shoe. The recommended size leaves about 1.0 cm of room in front of your longest toe.

Winter brings those mornings when the snow is halfway up your shins. That's when Vaistoa Hanki 3 barefoot boots feel like a warm hug for your feet. The tall shaft keeps snow out even in deeper drifts.

3M Thinsulate™ insulation, a soft faux fur lining and a thermal insole with a foil layer keep the warmth in and the cold out. The water-repellent surface and splash guard protect against snow and slush. Use the laces to tighten the soft shaft for a snug fit, or leave it looser so your Hanki boots slip on in no time. The foot-shaped toe box lets your toes move freely, and the thin, flexible sole moves with every step.

New this winter. The grip pads of the Vaistoa Pitoa™ winter sole have been developed further, with the aim of even better grip, and the sole is still just as thin and flexible. Every pair also comes with an extra mid-insole: place it under the winter insole when you want more warmth, for example when you spend a lot of time standing still outdoors.

Vaistoa Pitoa™ Winter Sole

Created for the Nordic winter.

The Vaistoa Pitoa™ winter sole is designed to enable a free and natural step throughout the northern winter. It combines the feel of a thin, flexible sole with grip pads.

Renewed grip pads for this winter. The grip pad structure has been developed further, with the aim of even better grip. The sole is still just as thin and flexible, so your step feels naturally comfortable in winter too.

The grip pads are made from a softer, high-friction rubber compound and are molded into the sole under the forefoot and heel.

The soft grip material wears slightly faster on dry, rough surfaces. In winter conditions, snow naturally slows down wear.

Winter Layer+ extra insulation midsole

Each pair comes with a Winter Layer+ midsole in the box. It adds extra insulation in cold conditions. Place it underneath the existing insole when needed.

Especially useful:

  • in very cold conditions
  • when standing still for longer periods
  • if your feet get cold easily

Material: recycled polyester felt with a heat-reflective aluminium layer.

Shoe care

USAGE

Loosen the laces properly when taking the shoes off and putting them on. This reduces wear and helps extend the lifespan of your shoes.

Let the shoes air out well after use. Fully loosen the laces, remove the insole (and the extra mid-insole if you use it), open the shoe wide, and allow the shoes to dry naturally before the next use.

If the shoes get wet on the inside, remove the removable insole and open the shoe wide so air can circulate.

It’s also good to give your shoes “rest days” so they can dry and ventilate properly.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

It’s best to clean off loose dirt right after use with a damp cloth or sponge.

You can maintain the water-repellent treatment with a protective spray. The treatment protects against moisture and splashes, but the shoes are not waterproof by construction.

We do not recommend washing barefoot shoes in a washing machine, as machine washing can weaken the shoe’s glued parts.

Store the shoes upright at room temperature and protected from UV light.

The soft grip-pad material wears slightly faster on dry, rough surfaces. In winter conditions, snow slows wear naturally.

How to measure your feet: stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, measure from the paper edge to the mark and match your foot length to the size chart. Measure both feet and use the longer foot.

So, you only need to know the length of your foot in centimeters. Here’s how to find it out:

  1. Place a piece of paper on the floor with one edge against the wall.
  2. Put your heel against the wall and mark a line on the paper at the tip of your longest toe.
  3. Measure the length from the edge of the paper to the line you drew.

Foot length = the measured length of your own foot; the toe allowance is already included, so you don't need to add anything. Shoe interior = the length and width inside the shoe. The recommended size leaves about 1.0 cm of room in front of your longest toe.

We offer 90-day FREE returns on unused shoes. Try your shoes on at home, indoors, and make sure they are a perfect fit before you start your Vaistoa adventure. If you're not completely satisfied, return them unused within 90 days of your order for a refund. One free return per order.

For deliveries to Sweden, you can also exchange for another size or colour of the same model.
