USAGE
If barefoot shoes are new for your child, we recommend starting gradually. This allows the feet to slowly adapt to the new sensation and movement pattern.
Open the shoes properly when taking them off and putting them on. This reduces wear and helps extend the lifespan of the shoes.
Let the shoes air out well after use. Remove the insole, open the shoe wide, and allow the shoes to dry naturally before the next use.
It’s also good to give the shoes “rest days” so they can dry and ventilate properly.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
It’s best to clean off loose dirt right after use with a damp cloth or sponge.
We do not recommend washing barefoot shoes in a washing machine. The membranes in waterproof models may become clogged, and machine washing can weaken the durability of the shoe’s glued parts.
Store the shoes upright at room temperature and protected from UV light.

These are by far the best shoes we’ve ever tested. Our children with wide feet (aged 6, 8 and 10) have worn barefoot shoes all their lives, but now we’ve found a new favourite brand! Excellent mid-season shoes for children, whatever the weather. Ordered according to the size chart, they arrived in exactly the right size with a little room to grow. According to my 6-year-old, they have superb grip, are quick, look great and are easy to put on!
In early spring, I bought my child some Vaistoa Kaste flat-soled shoes. My child is sensory-sensitive, and switching to new shoes doesn’t always go smoothly. However, my child took to these shoes straight away. It’s easy for my child to put them on by themselves, and they’re comfortable and lightweight to wear. I’d definitely recommend them! These are lovely and light to walk around the park in. They offer good grip when climbing. We haven’t had a chance to test them in the rain yet. My daughter really likes them.

I bought these vaistoa shoes for my 7-year-old son, and they’ve become his favourite pair! And even on hot summer days, he hasn’t wanted to wear any other shoes but these! So they feel great on his feet and are perfect for running about and climbing – thank you!
He wears size 35 and his foot is 18 cm long. When he first tried them on, he thought they were too big and it looked as though he wouldn’t agree to wear them, but then he tried them on again later and in the end they were just right and became his favourite shoes. So, when choosing shoe sizes, I initially wondered whether to go for a size 34 or 35, but it worked out well for us to go for the larger size – now they fit perfectly and he’ll be able to wear them for quite a while longer.
I bought these shoes for both my children in September 2025. They were worn for a couple of months in the autumn and for three months in the spring of 2026. The soles therefore lasted for about 5 months for both children. They’re waterproof, but otherwise the shoes don’t last very long when worn by children.

Easy for a child to put on by themselves; they’re flexible and have plenty of room for the toes, and my child really likes the purple colour. They also seem to be quite water-resistant.
These immediately became my child’s favourite shoes! My 2½-year-old can put them on by themselves and they’re easy to walk in. The shoes are light and flexible. And they come in lovely colours!
Lightweight, the Velcro fastenings are a plus, and the colour is lovely. Size 38 fits my size 36/37 feet perfectly, leaving just the right amount of room for my toes.
Three children are wearing them. The children think they’re light and comfortable. The high shaft is a plus, and it’s lovely that the shoes are also available in purple. Easy for the children to put on themselves. One star off because I don’t consider these to be completely waterproof, but rather water-repellent. It’s also a shame that sizes end at 38, which is just about right for our pre-schooler, whose feet have had a growth spurt. We’ll have to look for a new pair of shoes for the autumn, as larger sizes are no longer available.
